dress sizing is weird and generally bears no relation to 'normal'
sizing. In an attempt to minimize confusion, we list gowns by
their measurements in the shop and use the following chart as a rough
guide.
Like dress manufacturers, the size
chart assumes you have an hourglass figure. For the rest of
us pears, apples, and other assorted fruit shapes, we follow the measurements of our more endowed parts.
Since
it is nearly always easier to take a dress in than let it out, when a
dress falls between two sizes, it is listed as the smaller size.
Most gowns can be comfortably taken in two sizes, so we'd
encourage you to look at those in your size as well as the two above it.
